When Gmail sneezes, the whole internet starts acting like it’s caught a cold.

According to GMail’s Network Status page, IMAP and POP access to your account should still be working (otherwise known as “Using an email program the old-school way”). So here’s GMail’s webpage on how to set up a variety of programs to check and send your mail until the web portal is fixed.
