About Veritrope.com
Welcome to Veritrope
I’m Justin Lancy, an American writer and technologist. On Veritope.com (and the soon-to-be launched TravelerTech.com), I examine how technology, global culture, and travel can impact the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary ways.
For over ten years, I’ve been a Strategic Technology Advisor and Workflow Consultant to individuals and small groups who are looking to improve how they manage their work. I develop efficient tools for my clients which can streamline their overall process – and I especially enjoy finding ways to get more money, value, and personal satisfaction out of the time they’re spending.
I’m currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand where I am doing a personal research project on how much excellent, spicy food one human being can eat. (Spoiler Alert: A lot.)
WHAT IS A ‘VERITROPE’?
It’s a word I made up a long time ago: Like a heliotropic plant follows the sun as it crosses the sky, a Veritrope would try to follow whatever is real or true to them. To me, this seems like a pretty good philosophy: Always try to turn towards authenticity and, at the same time, acknowledge that it’s an ever-moving target.
WHAT IS VERITROPE.COM?
On Veritrope.com I collect and create content about the things that inspire me, including Music, Books, Travel, and Movies. I also talk a fair amount about technology and, specifically, I spearhead AppleScript projects that help Mac users connect apps together in new and interesting ways.

Notes on Affiliate Sales, Donations, and Advertisement
Veritrope.com participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising commissions by linking to Amazon.
In fact, I use a combination of revenue streams (advertising, affiliate marketing, donations, and the like) to make money from this website. This is a good thing.
My credibility is important to me: If I recommend something, it’s because I like it.
If you’d like to buy advertising space on this site, or if you have a product or service that you think my readers would be interested in seeing reviewed, please use the contact form to let me know. I always try to be as open-minded, unbiased, and fair as possible — while still remaining a human being with pre-existing opinions about things.
